As Canada’s 20th fastest growing community ideally situated 3.5 km south of the City of Edmonton boundary on 50th Street south, the Town of Beaumont is recruiting for numerous Lifeguard/Instructors.

The Community and Protective Services Department is seeking individuals with the certifications and experience in an aquatics environment. Good communication skills and leadership are required for public relations as well as maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for the public.

Responsibilities include lifeguarding, instructing swimming lessons, basic swimming pool operations and maintaining a clean, safe and enjoyable environment.

The successful candidate will have,
• NLS / AEC
• First Aid / CPR
• Red Cross Swimming Instructor certification
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team

The following qualifications would be an asset,
• Swimming Pool Operator certification
• Advanced Instructor Certifications

These are casual positions ranging from 10 – 40 hrs per week. Shift work may be required.

Guest Services Representatives, Aqua-Fit Centre

The Community and Protective Services Department is seeking individuals with strong communication skills along with experience in customer service.

Responsibilities include processing admissions and memberships, program registration, customer service, general administrative duties and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.

The successful candidate will have,
• Good communication skills
• Experience with Customer Service
• Computer Experience
• First Aid / CPR

The following qualifications would be an asset,
• Knowledge/experience with Class software

These are casual positions ranging from 10 – 35 hours per week. Shift work may be required.

Description:
Make a small enough playing area. Have everyone blindfolded and give everyone an animal name. Tell them to make their animals noises and to find others who are making the same noises and stick together. There should be a lot of different groups of animals in the end.
