Description:
This is for up to 6 Temporary, Part-time Ongoing positions.
Responsibilities will include:
* Acting as a program leader for a variety of programs including crafts, drama and fitness type classes for adults with disabilities.
* Assisting with program plans.
* Delivering programs, preparing materials and clean-up as needed.
* Other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
* Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade
* Some experience working with the general public, tour groups, children and other program users
* Experience with program planning is an asset
* Experience working with special needs population is desired
* Creative and enthusiastic
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work out of A.C.T. Centre (2909 – 113 Avenue) in Rundle Park
* Current Standard First Aid and Level C CPR is required
NOTE: A security clearance is a condition of employment. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Security Clearance letter from the Edmonton Police Service or local RCMP detachment
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 8 hours per week. Shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday evenings from 6:15 pm – 10:00 pm.
SALARY RANGE: 21B, Salary Grade: 001, $13.999 – $17.329 (Hourly). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
